Zinedine Yazid Zidane was born in Marseille, France on June 23, 1972.
In 1982, Zizou started his youth career with US Saint-Henri for a year, SO Septèmes-les-Vallons for the next 4
years and then AS Cannes till 1988 where he started his senior career with the same club for 4 years, FC Girondins de
Bordeaux for the next 4 years, Juventus F.C. and Real Madrid C.F. 5 years each.
He began his international career with the national team in 1994.
He joined Real Madrid C.F. for €66 million which was one of the most expensive transfer fees in history.
Zidane is one of only two players who have won the FIFA Player of the Year award three times and was a key
player in UEFA Champions League 2002 final scoring an amazing goal.
