Cristiano Ronaldo dos Santos Aveiro was born in Funchal, Madeira, Portugal on February 5, 1985.
In 1993, Cristiano Ronaldo started his youth career with C.F. Andorinha for 2 years, C.D. Nacional for the next 2 years and then
Sporting CP till 2001 where he started his senior career with the same club till 2003 as he joined Manchester United F.C.
for £12.24 million to become Manchester United's first-ever Portuguese player.
He began his international career with under-21 in 2002 and he earned his first cap for the national team in 2003.
Ronaldo sparkled in the 2007 - 2008 season as he scored a total of 42 goals and becoming the first winger to win the European
Golden Shoe as well as the first Premier League player ever to be named the FIFA World Player of the Year.
