The first season begins with the introduction of Dexter Morgan. At first we are introduced to everything that Dexter does. As the season goes on, we learn, along with him, the reasons for the way he acts. We also meet Dexter's girlfriend Rita, and her two children, Astor and Cody. The season shows us the complex relationship these two have, and all the ups and downs they go through. Apart from this, the season also focuses around "The Ice Truck Killer". This character kills prostitutes around Miami and teases Dexter by leaving clues as to who he is at the crime sites for Dexter to find. Another important character is Debra. She is Dexter's sister and a police officer. Debra is dating a doctor by the name of Brian Moser. This season is full of twist that will leave you on the edge of your seat.
