Welcome to The World of Tennis! This site was created to educate people about the wonderful game of Tennis. This site will do this by explaining the orgins of Tennis, how to play, major tournaments and much more.
Tennis is a game played between two players which is called singles or between two teams of two players which is called doubles. Each player uses a strung racquet to strike a hollow rubber ball covered with felt over a net into the opponent's court.
Tennis can be played by people of all ages shapes and sizes. It's a very good way of being active, keeping fit and staying healthy while having fun at the same time.
