| John's musicLots of people have lots of different music tastes. All the way from Rap to Country and from Techno to Heavy Metal. As for myself, I am a Heavy Metal/Industrial/Scremo fan with a little generic Rock thrown in when I have an off day. I Like bands like In Flames, Unholy, Devildriver, Killswitch Engage, All That Remains, The Agony Scene, and others. I like pretty much anything with a good beat, good guitar riffs, and some screaming for good measure. Some people think that all types of this music is "angry" and only have lyrics about hatred and evil things, but I'm here to tell you that's not true. The band As I Lay Dying is a scremo band and a Christian band. All their lyrics are Christian like for the most part, even if most people would not be able to understand the words to the music through the screaming. When I listen to this music despite my mood, although I do listen to the heavier stuff when I'm angry or depressed. The music gets me distracted from my situation and I forget about my worries and griefs. In other words, heavy angry screaming music makes me happy. Its a weird concept, but I'm a weird guy so I'm sure you can deal with it. I completely dislike Rap, Country music, and most Christian bands, with the exception of a few like As I Lay Dying and 3rd Strike. I also don't listen to much genetic Rock. The reason for most of these dislikes is that I've heard it all too much before. Everyone around me either listens to Rap or generic Rock. So me wanting to be different got into heavy metal and now its stuck to my heart like a piece a coal stuck to a Diamond. (All Rights Reserved ©) |
